Megan Berry was the lone player to go three sets for the Truckers (8-1, 3-0) at first singles. Facing Perkins sophomore Emma Lynch, Berry dropped the first set (6-3), then responded with back-to-back wins of 6-2 and 6-0.
At second singles, Emma Trost defeated Diana Schoder (6-1, 6-4), while Lauren Metcalf won over Abriye Skelton (6-1, 6-2).
At first doubles, Gabby Horowitz and Alexa Moore won over Ryleigh Keller and Trinity Bibler (6-1, 6-2). Second doubles saw Mara Berry and Erin Bleile beat Caitlin McQuillen and Greta Gross (6-0, 6-0).
Norwalk will host Ashland on Saturday morning in a stern non-league test, then travels to Vermilion next Tuesday for another league match.

TIFFIN — The Crimson Flashes won their 30th straight SBC Bay Division match on Thursday at Heidelberg University in Tiffin.
At first singles for Willard (5-2, 3-0), Addy Paxton beat Devyn Warnament (6-3, 6-0), while Ella Schag swept Maria Walter at second singles (6-0, 6-0). Natalie Van Zoest won for the Flashes at third singles (6-2, 6-0) over Kara Brodman.
The first doubles team of Kennedy Daub and Whitney Robinson also won in a sweep for the Flashes over Alana Kennedy and Maddy Ball (6-0, 6-0). At second doubles, Becca Slone and Kalli Sowers beat Samantha Wagner and Emily Dell (6-0, 6-1).

PORT CLINTON — The Chargers improved to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the SBC Bay Division with Thursday’s win over the host Redskins.
Jayla Medina won for Edison at first singles, as she topped Alaina Dackermann by scores of 6-4 and 6-1. Emily Vogus beat Hannah Cross at second singles (6-1, 6-3), while Alli Vogus beat Elena Kessler at third singles (6-3, 6-4).
At first doubles, Kaylee Ries and Torri Keyser beat Olivia Eickert and Paige Reineck (6-3, 6-0). At second doubles, it was Emily Moore and Lindsey Kowalski beat Alyssa Mares and Arielle Montowski (6-4, 6-2).

VERMILION — The Lady Red improved to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the Lake Division with Thursday’s sweep over the Sailors.
Winning for Bellevue included Rayven Whyde (6-0, 6-1), Summer Strunk (6-0, 6-0) and Kaitlyn Cullen (6-0, 6-1) at the three singles positions.
At first doubles, it was Sage Garcia and Leighann Motley (6-0, 6-0) picking up the win, while the team of Perla Monreal and Ella Little won by forfeit at No. 2 doubles.

TIFFIN — The Truckers fell to 4-3 in the SBC Lake Division with Thursday’s close setback to the Tornadoes at Mohawk Golf & Country Club.
Hannah Dumbeck shot a 48 for Norwalk, followed closely by Coe Thomas (50) and Noelle Jackson (51). Also for the Truckers, Mylea Barber shot a 59, followed by Mya Binkley (68) and Analiese King (71).
Norwalk is at Bellevue on Tuesday.

HURON — The Flyers fell to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in the Firelands Conference with Thursday’s loss to the host Roughriders.
Matt Jarrett led Western with a 45, followed by Luke Rowlinson (46), Camden Hankins (46), John Skrada (49), Breck Kinney (63) and Jacob Sergent (66).
Jackson Cook led St. Paul with a 51. He was followed by Nathan Juby (53), David Swope (54), Logan Amato (56), Luke Meyer (64) and Dylan Cook (68).
