Manuel ‘Mike’ Joseph Cambra

NORWALK — Manuel “Mike” Joseph Cambra, 88, Norwalk, passed away peacefully Friday morning, Jan. 10, 2020, at home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1931, in Boston, to William and Mary (Bealenias) Cambra.

Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, decorating for the holidays and dancing. He was skilled at doing home improvements and was a great story teller.

Mike is survived by his wife, Patricia (Ross) Cambra, whom he married Sept. 10, 2008; children, Francis “Pat” (Cynthia) Cambra of Castalia, Scott Cambra of Florida, Sandra (James) Coffman of Plymouth, Margaret Schnell of Norwalk, Tomi (Chris) Mayer of Texas, Richard (Donna) Schnell of Norwalk, William Schnell of Norwalk and Lee Eric (Debra) Schnell of Monroeville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ed (Virginia) Cambra of Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Cambra; sister, Theresa; and brothers, John and Francis “Pat.”

Private family burial will take place in Milan Cemetery at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
