WAKEMAN — Kathy Sue (Dearmon) Champney, 62, of Wakeman, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Survivors include her husband, Gary L. Champney, whom she married Aug. 12, 2017; son, Robert (Monica) Reed Jr. of Somerset, Ky.; daughter, Tara Horvath of Wakeman; grandchildren, Denver, Natalie, Keegan, Cameron, and Preston; stepchildren, Steve Horvath Jr. of Huron and Kathryn Avalos of Lorain; brothers and sisters, Wendell, Richie, Connie and Donna; and a host of cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Reed; and stepdaughters, Stephanie Horvath and Michelle Horvath.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wakeman Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4354 at a later date.
