This week, Norwalk’s free summer concert series welcomes returning act Dan Robertson to the stage.

The local singer and songwriter will be play at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Memorial Lake Park. Families are encouraged to bring their chairs, snacks — or enjoy those offered at the event — as well as outdoor play equipment, such as flying discs or balls.

Robertson said he is influenced and inspired by such musicians as Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Led Zepplin and Phil Keaggy.

The local musician has been playing the guitar for many years and is known for guitar virtuosity. He has played with local Ohio bands such as Badge, Gypsy and Beyond Control and has performed as the lead guitar player for several national acts that have passed through our area such as The Guess Who, Steve Camp and The Imperials.

Robertson has put out two CDs — Corban and Pavlov's Dog. Some music from those CDs will be featured at the evening concert.

As a new feature at the concert series this year, Wescott's Arctic Shaved Ice will bring its mobile cart to offer frozen treats to concertgoers.

Classic concert features return, including raffles and snacks.
