The Mickey Mouse Club Christmas Concert returns on Saturday

SANDUSKY  — The holiday magic will take center stage on Saturday during The Mickey Mouse Club Christmas Concert at the Sandusky State Theatre.

Emily Keener and 106 students from Caryl Crane Youth Theatre will bring 90 years of Disney songs on stage for a holiday celebration.

“It’s fast and fun,” theatre director Brian Marshall said. “In 90 minutes you’ll go through 90 years of music.”

Disney songs are known to evoke emotions, magical fantasies and have a universal theme of appealing to people of all ages.

“Every single person has some connection to Disney music You hear a song and memories flood in,” Marshall said.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious songs will be performed 2-4 p.m., including tunes from “Beauty and the Beast,” “Mulan,” “Tarzan,” “Aladdin,” “The Little Mermaid” and more.

The children will capture the audience's attention with their breathtaking voices and impressive stage presence, he said.

“There is something powerful about the youth singing, you feel the melodies in a different way,” Marshall said. “The cast is just phenomenal and talented.”
