First-half real estate tax collection in Huron County

Huron County Treasurer Kathleen Schaffer has scheduled the off-site tax collection schedule for Huron County residents.

• Monday, Feb. 3, Wakeman village offices, 9 a.m. until noon

• Tuesday, Feb. 4, New London village offices, 9 a.m. until noon

• Thursday, Feb. 6, Willard Senior Enrichment Center, 9 a.m. until noon

Pay with a check or money order; no debit/credit cards or cash will be accepted.

The tax bill must be presented at the time of payment, or payment will not be accepted.

The drive-thru, located behind the County Offices Building, in Norwalk, has been closed permanently due renovations to the parking lot.

There is a secure night drop box located inside the front door of the treasurer’s office, to the right. This is accessible 24/7.

The treasurer’s office is located at 16 E. Main St. in Norwalk.

First-half property taxes are due by 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14.
