First Presbyterian

Join this church as it starts a new sermon series on the Holy Spirit and Christmas. We begin talking about the Holy Spirit in prophecy. God promised that the Spirit-anointed Messiah will usher in a new kingdom that looks very different than business as usual. Service times are at 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. Scripture readings are Isaiah 11:1-9 and Luke 4:16-21. Fusion meets at 5 p.m.

 

Collins, West Hartland United Methodist

These churches invite everyone Sunday to celebrate with thanksgiving Jesus our King, Savior and Messiah. Services are at 8 and 11 a.m. at 4290 Hartland Center Road, Collins, and 9:30 at West Hartland, 1401 Zenobia Road. Both sites are handicapped accessible. Child care is available and a junior church is offered at the 11 service for all children. Come as you are and celebrate with gratitude for our hope, our solid ground, our Jesus.

 

First United Methodist

This church offers a free community dinner on the third Monday of every month from 5 until 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome; it does’not matter if you attend another church or attend no church at all. Come and enjoy the great food and fellowship of your neighbors.

The sermon Sunday will be entitled “Declarations of Your Heart: Extravagant Generosity Is an Expression of Your Heart” and is based on John 3:16 and 2 Corinthians 8:24. Come and enjoy the peace it brings.

 

St. Paul Episcopal

This church will celebrate the 24th Sunday after Pentecost with a service of Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. A coffee hour will follow the service. This church continue to use specially prepared liturgy during this season leading to Christmas.

Sign-up continues for Christmas poinsettias. The Thanksgiving community meal was a great success

Narcotics Anonymous will meet in Benedict Chapel on Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran

This week the church, 243 Benedict Ave., celebrates the Ladies Thankoffering service. The chapel will be decorated with gifts from the bounty of the Earth given to us by our Lord.

Services are at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, with Holy Communion offered at all services. The 10:30 service is broadcast on WLKR 95.3 FM and Facebook Live for those who cannot attend in person.

 

Berlin Heights Baptist

BERLIN HEIGHTS — This church, 85 E. Main St., Berlin Heights, has been designated Sunday Faith Promise Missionary Sunday. Missionary Jeremy Burns will present his work with prison fellowship during the 10:30 a.m. service.

The annual adults' Christmas dinner party/gift exchange will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6. All those wishing to attend need to sign up with Pastor Shaun Cotterill by calling 419-588-2332.
