By Norwalk Reflector Staff • Jul 23, 2018 at 12:54 PM

Project Leadership of Huron County will accept school supplies and donations for needy school children in Norwalk from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Norwalk City Schools board of education office, 134 Benedict Ave.

Distribution of school supplies for eligible children at Norwalk Catholic School and Norwalk City Schools will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Salvation Army building on Whittlesey Avenue.

Parents are asked to register their children at The Salvation Army from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday or Aug. 1 so that book bags will be packed with the required items for each grade level.

“Stuff the Bus” is in its ninth year of operation. A committee headed by Judy Sommers and including Carol Phillips, Reta Stark and Nicole Jones from Firelands Federal Credit Union along with Sara Scavuzzo, a junior from St. Paul High School, have been working to get the word out to the community about this important event.

Last year, 333 children received school supplies and some of the local pre-schools also received supplies for their classrooms. This was all due to the generosity of our community supporting this cause.
