McNaull has served on the Firelands Electric Cooperative board since 1991 and was elected president in 1999.

McNaull attended North Central Technical College and The Ohio State University, and is co-owner and vice president of Ashland Implement, Inc. He is a member of Ashland Dickey Church of the Brethren, where he serves in various capacities. McNaull is active with several committees of Farmers State Bank; is zoning commission chairman of Montgomery Township; and is the primary revisionist author of the township’s zoning regulations.
Further, McNaull is a member of the Ashland Young Men’s Business Club, and is the nominating committee chairman of the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives (OREC) board of directors, where also serves on the marketing committee. McNaull is on the joint policy committee for Buckeye Power and OREC, and is a national parts advisory board member for Case International.
