Mike Raftery and the former Chris Gerber were married Dec. 28, 1968 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroeville. The Rev. Harvey Keller officiated.
They are the parents of Keely and Brendan. They have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Raftery is a quality manager, and Mrs. Raftery is a former banker and county employee.
Their anniversary was celebrated with a trip to Ireland in September. A surprise party took place in December with family and friends.
