Mr. Smith, of Monroeville, married the former Frances Mitchell of North Fairfield, on Jan. 1, 1949, at Church of the Master Steuben, Rev. P.J. Garcia, officiating. Their reception was held at the church after the wedding.
They are the parents of Linda, Smith, Pat Miller, Karen Martin, Barb Smith and Kathy Smith. They have 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Smith is a farmer while Mrs. Smith is a homemaker.
