Max Opper, of Monroeville, married the former Corrine Brewer, of Huron, on Oct. 10, 1953, at the home of the late Rev. Garcia on Newton St., Norwalk.
They are the parents of Gary (Jill) Opper and Glen (Tam) Opper, of Monroeville; Gail Gates, of Norwalk; and Gregg (Janice) Opper, of Willis, Texas. They have nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Max is retired from the B&O Railroad. Corrine is a retired bus driver.
The couple celebrated with dinner at Red Lobster and with a surprise party on Oct. 13 given by their children.
Max and Corrine loved going to Cedar Point, dancing, and volunteering at Carriage House and Memorial Home.
