Mary was born and raised in Norwalk and attended St. Paul schools. Dave was born and raised in Toledo and graduated from DeVilbiss High School. Mary earned a two-year degree from Lorain County Community College as a surgical technician. Dave graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. He had a double English major.
Mary and Dave met in Toledo in 1982 and were married in 1983. In 1991, they moved to Orlando, Fla. for 20 years. Mary became a surgical first assist and Dave left the advertising and marketing field to become a high school teacher at Oviedo High School in Oveido, Fla.
In 2011, they moved back to Norwalk, where Mary now works as a surgical coordinator at Firelands Regional Medical Center. Dave retired to become a full-time author of horror-thrillers. His 13th novel will be published this summer.
