The Rev. Steven and Audrey (Brown) Trimble are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple, both natives of Akron, married on Feb. 14, 1968, in Ravenna.

They are the parents of Greg Trimble, of Virginia Beach, Va.; Porter Trimble, of Valdosta, Ga.; Michelle Bruce, of Pineville, La.; Dan Hunt, Jr., of Norwalk; Davin Hunt, of Fremont; Denise Richard, of Little Elm, Texas; and Kim Locke, of Sandusky. They have 17 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Trimble is retired from service in the United Church of Christ. Mrs. Trimble is a retired home health aide.

Mrs. Trimble credits prayer and faith as secrets of her long marriage. Living in Florida, enjoying their travel trailer and home there are happy experiences.

Rev. Trimble offers tolerance as important to a marriage. He has enjoyed serving eight churches, five cruises, and camping out, including Army Reserve and Boy Scouts.

The high school sweethearts enjoy time with family and friends, travel and camping.

A family gathering was held at the Olive Garden on Feb. 11 to celebrate.
