John and Sue Selka are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Selka, a native of Clarksfield, married the former Sue Hunter, of Fitchville, on Sept. 23, 1967, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wakeman.

They are the parents of Chris Selka, of Norwalk; Craig Selka, of Norwalk; Stacey Marcum, of Woodhaven, Mich.; and Meghan Selka, of Huron. They have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Selka is retired from the Federal Aviation Administration where he was supervisor of communications. Mrs. Selka is a homemaker and caregiver to her grandchildren.

The couple, who were high school sweethearts, enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. They also enjoy traveling, having visited 44 of the 50 states, and are looking forward to visiting the rest.

A dinner with family will mark the occasion.
