Democrat Christina Raftery and Republican Jan Tkach are running for the Huron County recorder. The winner will succeed retiring Democratic recorder Karen Fries. Who gets your vote and why?

Raftery has years of experience in the department!
Tkach is the best qualified of the two!
I wonder if Tkach will get some Democratic votes, because Democrat Roland Tkach's signs were ubiquitous in his ultimately successful 2010 campaign for re-election as Huron County Auditor.
if her husband is auditor is this conflict of inerest if she get elected just askin
She is not married to Auditor Roland Tkach.
thanks
Jan Tkach should be judged by her own accomplishments and she has never relied on an endorsement from the current auditor - her brother-in-law and a member of a different political party. Jan Tkach doesn't play party politics, she just wants to serve the people of Huron County.
Also please consider that Raftery's years of experience in the department led to her firing by a Recorder from her own political party. Evidently her boss didn't think Raftery's work was acceptable. I trust long-time Recorder Karen Fries' judgement over a disgruntled employee.
This is a local election, please don't let party politics influence your decision. Vote for Jan Tkech because she is qualified and competent.
And there it is, going all negative are ya? Seems Raftery got a raw deal in that office, which just tipped my vote in favor for her.
abc456 er jan, why call Raferty disgruntled? Did C.Rafery say anything negative? Would you if you were fired?
I WAS TOLD JAN HAS TROUBLE WITH HER CHECK BOOK!AND SHE WANTS TO BE AUDITOR???
Jan is Roland's sister in law, so yes there would be a family connection to Auditor Roland. Jan is library aide, at a local library.
Chris Raftery, has the experience as a Banker for many years with National City (aka PNC) with small business, and as employee for the Recorder's office. Chris knows the office of Recorder, and will know what to do when she returns to that office. My vote goes to experience in the office, and to the person with the most knowledge of the job that needs to be done. My vote goes to Chris Raftery!
My vote goes to Raftery also, too many Tkach's on the public dole.
