CLYDE Mildred D. Holmes, 95, formerly of Clyde, died Monday at Stein Hospice of Sandusky.
She was born March 4, 1912 in Bellevue to the late Irvin and Julia (Markle) Bilger.
She was a member of the Clyde Christian Church and had attended York School.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her close friends, Doris Tressler and Dick Babcock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Holmes, whom she married March 16, 1937 and who died Sept. 29, 1982; a brother, Norman Bilger; and sisters, Florence Straub, Ruth Springer, Ethel Maye and Viola Bilger.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. The Rev. Patty Able will officiate. Burial will be in York Free Chapel Cemetery.
