BELLEVUE Dorothy Winifred (Hill) Pomerson, 91, of Naples, Fla., died Friday at Bellevue Hospital in Bellevue after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 26, 1915 in Sandusky to Hazen and Magdelina Arheit Hill, and she moved to Bellevue in 1928. She graduated from the former York High School.
She retired from Schild's IGA grocery store in Norwalk and moved to her retirement home in Naples in September 1974.
She was a consummate seamstress and enjoyed playing euchre and bingo. She was a member of the Palm Rive Ladies' Crafts Group in Florida.
Pomerson is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Mary Jo Wilken of Bellevue; stepson and his wife, Erroll B. and Anitha Broud of Sidney; and stepdaughters and their husbands, Marjorie and Larry Milkie of Green Bay, Wisc., Fairy and William Cook of Aurora, Col., Genivieve Anderson of Naples, Carol L. and Douglas Green of Amherst, and Rebecca S. Pomerson of Naples; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and sisters and brother-in-law, Emily Rose Shaffer of Berea and Hazel and Pete Orwig of Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Allen Broud and Arthur Pomerson; a sister, Alice Hill Broud; and a brother, Lester Hill.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foos & Son Funeral Home, 311 W. Main St., Bellevue, where services will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Seibel of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial at a later date will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
