ASHLAND Wanda May Hughes, 66, of Ashland, died Tuesday at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 9, 1940 in Greenwich Township. She had lived in the Ashland area for many years, in Clearwater, Fla. for 20 years and back to Ashland in September 2006.
She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. She had worked at numerous jobs in Ashland. In Clearwater she worked with Kidney Dialysis at the Veteran's Administration and also in private duty.
She is survived by her daughters, Carlene Jones of Fayetteville, N.C. and Sondra Sharick of Ashland; sons, Michael Mitchell of Blackfoot, Idaho, Randy Hughes of Fruitland, N.M. and Chato Hughes of Clearwater, Fla.; sisters, Roberta Vance of Norwalk, Jo-An Riley of Blackfoot, Idaho and Connie Kimble of Toledo; and a brother, Larry Luteman; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjie (Felver) Nallie; father, Robert Luteman; a brother, Dale Luteman; and sisters, Dixie VanAernam, Dianna Cippola and Eva Koster.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
