CLYDE George Baker Jr., 57, of Clyde, died Sunday at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
He was born March 20, 1949 in Martin to the late George Sr., and Kathryn (Davis) Baker. He was a devote Baptist.
In 1987, after becoming disabled, he retired from truck driving with the Gottron Bros., Stone Quarry.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Hergesheimer) Baker, whom he married July 14, 1979; daughters, Michelle Stiltner of Fostoria and Jennifer Baker of Clyde; sons, Mickey Baker of Fostoria, Richard Baker of Tiffin and Timothy Baker of Clyde; a step daughter, Tamela Keegan; and stepsons, Timothy Keegan and Todd Keegan; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and brothers, Kenneth Baker of Martin and Charles Baker of Elmore.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Debbie Baker and Sue Minich; and two brothers, LaMar Baker and William Baker.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service at noon Wednesday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. The Rev. David Klappenbach will officiate.
