WAKEMAN Betty Preece, 72, of Wakeman, died Friday afternoon at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky following a short illness.
She was born May 5, 1934 in Albion, N.Y., and had lived in Wakeman for the last 34 years. She was a homemaker and she loved to read.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Browning J.L. Preece; a daughter, Wendy Ann Dingle of Rochester, N.Y.; a grandson; a brother, Gerald Leon Marsh of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Harriet (Kelsey) Marsh; and a brother, Eugene Marsh Jr.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. today at Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman.
