ROBERT HONAKER

SHILOH Robert Honaker, 64, of Shiloh, died Wednesday at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky after a brief illness.

He was born Jan. 8, 1943 in Royalton, Ky., son of the late Raymond and Ressie (Collins) Honaker. He was a 1961 graduate of South Central High School. Honaker served in the U.S. Army from 1961 until 1964. He had worked as a welder/machinist for Akron Standard Mold in Greenwich, for Fate, Root & Heh in Plymouth, Lake Park Industries in Greenwich, Midwest Industries in Willard, and Advanced Cylinder in Ashland. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 503 in Shiloh. Honaker enjoyed creating Indian jewelry, woodworking and making knives and swords.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Chad and Penny Honaker of Willard; his daughter, Sonja Thornsberry of Shiloh; seven grandchildren; a brother, Bill Honaker of Willard; sisters, Pat Vanderpool of North Fairfield and Betty Honaker of Columbus; and his companion, Roberta Whitaker of Greenwich.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Honaker.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Dominion Church, U.S. 224 in Willard (behind Sharpnack GM Car Dealership) where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Chad Honaker officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at the North Fairfield Cemetery.

LAWRENCE F. RUMSEY

NEW LONDON Lawrence F. "Larry" Rumsey, age 85, of New London, died Wednesday at The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Firelands in New London.

He was born Oct. 10, 1921 in New London, son of the late Frank and Margaret (Burk) Rumsey. He was a lifelong resident of the New London area. Rumsey was a lifelong farmer.

He is survived by his brother- and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Annabelle Rumsey of New London; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Snyder and two brothers, Jack and Thomas Rumsey.

Friends may call from 6 until the time of services at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, with Pastor Doug Lang of the New London Alliance Church officiating. Private graveside services will take place at Grove Street Cemetery, New London.

Memorials, if desired, may be given to the donor's favorite charity.

CATHERINE H. BAISCH

NORWALK Catherine H. Baisch, 87, of Norwalk, died Wednesday evening in Gaymont Nursing Center. She was born Feb. 22, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John A. and Helen J. (Erhard) Hogan and came to this area in 1949. She was a 60-year member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was also a member of the Sandusky Yacht Club. She enjoyed being a homemaker, spending time with her family, and ballroom dancing.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Dennis Vogus of Berlin Heights, Patty and Terry Johns of Dalton and Pam and Robert Woodruff of Dusseldorf, Germany; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Donald J. Hogan of Bradenton, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Baisch in 1983, by her brother, Jack Hogan and sister, Dorothy Hogan.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
