NORWALK — Pollyanna Julia Timm, 80, of Norwalk, died on Monday at her home after a brief illness.
She was born July 21, 1926 in Cleveland in the shadow of the West Side Market.
She graduated from West Technical High School and Midland Radio School. She worked as a radio operator for Delta Airlines, a fashion model and a certified dietetic technician. She was also employed by Electric Controller & Manufacturing Co. (3D), Hillcrest Hospital Dietary Department, and the Hearst Corp. (Periodical Publishing).
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron, the American Association of Dietary Managers, and a volunteer at the Sandusky State Theatre and Fisher-Titus Medical Center. She loved dance, fashion, music and all the arts.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Timm, whom she married April 20, 1991; daughters and sons-in-law, Polly Skidmore, Wren and Curtis Eldridge, and Gretl and Mark Yenny; sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Phil Wrabel and Ward and Barbara Wrabel; eight stepchildren; seven grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Richard Connelly and brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Dorothy Buzek.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Wrabel, in 1980; and her parents, Joseph P. and Elizabeth J. (Toth) Buzek.
Her children are planning a celebration of her life to be held on her birthday, Saturday, July 21. Announcements will be sent to family and friends.
