ELDON, Mo. — Bob Shauck Sr., 91, of Eldon, died Monday.
He was born Dec. 16, 1915 in Mansfield, Ohio, a son of the late Chalmer and Nettie (Condon) Shauck.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1940 to 1946 as a machinist mate and Chief Petty Officer on the USS Spry. He moved from North Fairfield, Ohio to Miller County in 1968 where he ran a commercial cattle farm.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Shauck, whom he married June 29, 1943 in Mansfield; children and their spouses, Bob Shauck Jr. and his significant other, Bettie, of Eldon, Cheryll and Bob Sims of Azle, Texas, Dennis and Betsy Shauck of Holden and Tom Shauck and his significant other, Barbara, of Eldon; and nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Maxwell Shauck Sr. and Richard C. Shauck.
His body has been cremated under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
