QUAKER CITY - Carol Sue McVicker, age 63, of Quaker City, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 6th.
She was born October the 4th, 1944 in Senecaville. Daughter of the late Rex and Pauline (Bates) Rich. She was a retired school bus driver for East Guernsey school district having worked there over 20 years. She was a 1963 grad of Byesville HS. A member of the Church of Christ. Lifelong member of the Farm Bureau, a loyal supporter of Buckeye Trail HS athletics. Enjoyed crosswords, jigsaw puzzles and collecting glassware.
She is survived by her husband, Ray McVicker, whom she marred October 2, 1964. Also surviving is 1 son, Matt and Nicole McVicker of Marengo, Ohio, 3 daughters Theresa and Michael Williamson of Little Hocking, Patti and Mark Hamlin of Edmon, OK Lori and Denny Welfle of Norwalk; 2 brothers, Don and Erica Rich of Marion, Carl and Janie Rich of Senecaville, 2 sisters Wilma and Raymond Roe of Cambridge and Marylou and Tip Black of Byesville; 7 grandchildren, Chance, Shelby, Elizabeth, Ashley, Shane, Riana and Cecelia. A special cousin, Melba Flood who helped to raise Carol as a child. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in QC. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home. Evan. Jeff Rich will officiate, burial to follow at Friends Cemetery in QC.
