NORWALK — Thomas A. Shaffoe, 62, of Milan, died Sunday afternoon in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

He was born October 7, 1945 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania and came to this area in 1955 coming from Beaver, Pennsylvania.

He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a 1963 graduate of St. Paul High School.

 He was the founder of Shaffoe Realtors and was a co-partner in Billetter, Homan and Shaffoe which was established in 2000. Thom became a licensed realtor in 1975 and was past president of the Firelands Association of Realtors in 1994 and 2007.

He was a major influence in the purchase of the Association’s present facility in Sandusky and was a huge supporter of the Realtor profession and a major RPAC donor. He received the President’s Service Award in 2002 and the CEO Award in 2005. He was an Ohio Association of Realtor’s President’s Sales Club Award winner for many years, as a top producer in his field.

 He enjoyed motorcycling, vacationing in Ft. Myers, Florida, his two dogs and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol A. (Ringholz) Shaffoe of Milan and by his sons and daughters in law, Troy M. and Joanna Shaffoe of Clemmons, North Carolina and Todd M. and Danielle Shaffoe of Milan, Ohio and 3 grandchildren, Katie Lyall, McKenna Shaffoe and Caden Shaffoe. He is also survived by his mother, Mary I. (Kerecman) Shaffoe of Norwalk and by his sister and brother in law, Elaine Marie and Michael Blackman of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew T. Shaffoe in 2007.

Friends may call on Wednesday, June, 11, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 12, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
