NEW LONDON Mary S. Marett, 76, of New London, died Monday at Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 16, 1930 in Prestonsburg, Ky., to the late, Carl H. and Mabel (Straughan) Corbin. She had lived in Dailey, W.Va., moving to the New London area in 1960.
She had worked at the former C.E. Ward Co. of New London, the former Saginaw Wire of Norwalk and Kent Sporting Goods of New London. She was a member of the Olena Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Jeff Barnes of Norwalk and Karen and Stephen Wargo of Shiloh; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff Isner of New London, Mike and Janet Isner of New London and Robert and Linda Sponaugle of Elkins, Ind.; nine grandchildren; a brother, John Corbin of Columbus, Ga.; and sisters, Marta Garcia of Melbourne, Fla. and Joellen Lomonaco of Willard.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert S. Isner; sisters, Robin Gardner and Roseann May; and a brother, David Corbin.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. The Rev. Clair Brewer will officiate.
