NORWALK — Diana M. Oates, 44, of Norwalk, died Friday in her home.
She was born April 16, 1962 in Cincinnati and came to Norwalk, Willard and Plymouth areas in 1997.
She was a member of Norwalk First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Rayen High School in Youngstown in 1980 and graduated from Youngstown College of Business in 1982. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and was a blood donor. She enjoyed needle point, word search puzzles, playing cards, listening to country music, riding her bicycle and was a Bengals and Colts sports fan.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Oates of Norwalk; her father, Larry Braden of Rising Sun; mother, Ina Braden of Pemberville; brothers, Larry Melvin Braden of Findlay and Duane Michael Braden of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Barbara Ann Braden of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Dr. Roger E. Smith will officiate.
