NORWALK — Lois I. Horn, 79, of Norwalk, died Tuesday at Community Health Partners in Lorain.
She was born April 10, 1929 in Sandusky and has lived in the area her whole life in the Wakeman and Norwalk areas.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Norwalk and a former member of the Wakeman Congregational Church and its Talent Guild. She was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader, and was the house mother at the Huron County Group Home for Juveniles.
She enjoyed reading, embroidery and painting ceramics.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty (John) Kemming of Wakeman, Dorothy (Frank) Sams of Collins, and Kathleen (Andy) Case of Norwalk; sons, Daniel (Fredia) Horn of Bellevue, William (Nancy) Horn of Stem, N.C., and Jeff (Donna) Horn of Wakeman; a sister, Beatrice Adcock of Sandusky, Marion Perry of California; a brother, Charles (Dottie) Osborn of Sandusky; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford in 1968; parents Howard Osborn and Beatrice (Cutcher) Simpson; five brothers in infancy; grandsons, Joseph Jackson, Jordan Bloom and Peter Bloom; a granddaughter, Patricia Sams-Marshall; a great-granddaughter, Ciara Sams; and one great-great-grandson, Devon Lykins.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Wakeman Cemetery.
