NEW LONDON — Jonathan Vaughn Holden Kistler, 9, of New London, died Wednesday at Metro Health Medical Center.
He was born May 29, 1998 in Norwalk to Hans and Misty (Stanley) Kistler.
He was a loving child who loved to play sports, including baseball through the summer leagues. He also enjoyed campfires with his friends. His goal was to grow up and be in the Army.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Derek Kistler of New London; a sister, Bridget Kistler of New London; maternal grandparents, Richard and Kay Stanley of Wakeman; paternal grandparents, Eric and Carole Kistler of Sullivan; maternal great grandparents, Argil and Betty Stanley of Wakeman; paternal great-grandfather, Ray F. Kistler of Sullivan; paternal great-grandmother, Colleen Kistler of Sandusky; great-grandfather and stepgreat-grandmother, Lowell and Lois Marshall; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New London Alliance Church, 4625 Ohio 162 W., New London, with the Rev. Doug Lang officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery.
