Bobbie Jo Tuttle (nee Vanderpool), age 76 of Wakeman passed away Monday June 2, 2014 in the Cleveland Clinic following a long illness.
She was born January 28, 1938 in Yerkes, Kentucky and had lived in Ohio since 1955. She was baptized and joined The Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church in 1984 and took her membership in 1998 to the Eternal Rose Old Regular Baptist Church in Nashville, Ohio during it's establishment. She had worked as a manager at Foxmoor Casual in Elyria before her retirement. She enjoyed church , gardening, quilting and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Elder Hargis Tuttle, her son Jim (Darlene) Tuttle of Lomansville, KY, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her sister Coleda (Larry) Tackett of Shepardsville, Ky. She also leaves behind numerous friends, neighbors and multitudes of church brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her daughters Debra Meltzer, Sherry Boos, her sister Laura Young , brother Donnie Vanderpool and by her parents Kendell and Parelee (nee Campbell ) Vanderpool.
Friends may call in the Blackburn -Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton on Wednesday June 4th from 4-8 PM with services at 6 PM. Friends may also call on Thursday June 5th from 2- 8 PM with services at 6 PM in the Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church 3589 Beat Rd, Litchfield, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held there on Friday June 6th at 10 AM with Elders Raymond Gayheart and Joe Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Wakeman Cemetery, Wakeman, Ohio.
