Anna C. Perry, age 99, of Sandusky, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother peacefully went to see the Lord this 30th day of May 2014.
She was born November 8, 1914 on the family farm in Peru Township to the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Brown) Smith. Anna was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Alphonsus and St. Paul Catholic Churches for many years.
Anna enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre, flower gardening, family gatherings with the grand and great-grandchildren.
She assisted her late husband as office manager with his automobile agency, Avon representative, and homemaker. Anna was a member of the Ohio Farmer Union, past member of Norwalk Eagles 711 Auxiliary, Senior Enrichment Services of Norwalk, Salvation Army Christmas Program, Monroeville Golden Eagles, Wisdom People, volunteer and auxiliary member of Fisher Titus Medical Center and the former Providence Hospital in Sandusky. She especially enjoyed volunteering in the gift shop and obtaining over 2,000 hours.
She is survived by her daughters and spouses: Carol (Jack) Harpst of Norwalk, and Donna (Frank) Orofino of Sandusky; grandchildren and spouses: Kathleen (Dan) Holtz, Jacqueline (Mark) Sindlinger, Rick (Heather) Perry of Norwalk, and Trenton (Allison) DeWalt of Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren: Brooke and Evan Holtz, Hali and Keagan Sindlinger, Isaac, Alexa, Mitchell, and Jared Perry, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Anthony, and Ethan DeWalt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Perry; son, Raymond Perry, Jr., grandson, Dale A. Perry; brothers, Leon, Leonard, Clemons, Sylvester, Cletus, and Charles Smith; and sister, Mary Smith.
Friends and family may call on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 10:30 AM, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Peru. Reverend William Pifher will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery.
