Mark David Moore

Mark David Moore, age 43, of New London and formerly of Greenwich died May 16, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Willard after a massive heart attack.  Mark was born September 5, 1970 in Ravenna, Ohio.  He was a 1988 graduate of South Central High School and Ehove Joint Vocational School. 
 
Mark served 3 years in the U.S. Army in the 7thCorp. 3rd Armor Division.  He was stationed in Germany for 18 months.  Mark was a machinist at Versitech in Greenwich for over 22 years.  He took great pride in his work.  He enjoyed fishing, camping with his family and friends, collecting, repairing and shooting guns.  He was a member of the 1911 Gun Club.  Mark was a blessing and loved so very much by his family. 
 
He is survived by his Fiance, Valerie Hoffman; his children, Heather (Collin Snow) Moore of Bellevue, Hanna and David Moore at home, his stepson, Louren Schott at home;  his parents, Merlin “Moe” and Mary (Maynard) Moore of Greenwich; his brother, Michael ( Becky) Moore of Greenwich; his sister, Melissa (Donnie) Thompson of Okinawa, Japan; his uncles, Les Moore of Ravenna, Claude (Michael Duke) Maynard of Columbus; his aunts, Carol (Phil) Canfora of Norton, Linda (Bill) Reed of New London, Roetta Moore of Garrettsville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many military brothers and sisters of Delta Co. 1st Engineers.  Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Inez and Albertus Moore and Pearl and Claude Maynard, his aunts, Ida May Maynard and Betty Moore and his uncle, Don Moore.     
 
 
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Ripley Church, 4130 South Edwards Rd. , Greenwich where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22, with Pastor Eric Robinson officiating.  Burial with military rites will follow at Edwards GroveCemetery, Greenwich.  Memorials if desired may be given to the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland, Inc., 10415 Euclid Ave., Cleveland,Ohio 44106.  Online condolences may be made at: www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
