GALION — Ruth V. Moser, 78, of, Galion, died Sunday at Galion Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 21, 1929 in Sandusky to the late Harold and Antoinette (Nemitz) Kamann. She married Donald D. Moser on Aug. 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2004.
She lived in the rural Galion area for more than 45 years. She worked at the former North Electric in Galion and Geyer’s grocery store, and raised dairy cows with her husband.
She was a farm wife who took pride in being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Free Methodist Church, Galion. She loved to cook and being in the outdoors. Her strong unshakable faith in Jesus Christ was an inspiration to many.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Joanne Marks of Bucyrus, Marilyn and Scott Woodworth of Galion, Ruth Ann and Joe Noblet of Galion, Barbara and Rob Gabner of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Donald “David” Moser and his fiancé, Deb Hall, of Dutton, Ala., John J. Moser of Galion; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers and a sister and their spouses, Eugene and Pat Kamann of Willard, Margaret “Mugg” and Gilbert Mainzer of Norwalk and Donald and Linda Kamann of Monroeville.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons, a son-in-law, Tony Marks; a sister, Audrey Kamann; and brothers, Roland “Rollie” Kamann, William “Billy” Kamann and Russ Kamann.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home in Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Free Methodist Church in Galion, with the Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Burial will follow on a later date.
