CASPER, Wyo. — A celebration of life service for Frank Patrick McKay, 59, took place Saturday in Wyoming.
He was born April 29, 1948 in Norwalk, Ohio, the son of Donald and Kathryn (Wright) McKay.
He joined the Marines at age 17 and was awarded numerous medals during his service in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge he worked as a mechanic and later was employed in the transportation business.
On Aug. 30, 1983 he married Jennifer Mary Ann Busby.
He loved the mountains, camping, fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years; daughters, Monica McKay of Sandusky, Ohio and Julie and Melanie Ranyard of England; sons, Don McKay of Norwalk, Michael and Wayne Ranyard of England, Jason Hayman of Casper and Gary Hayman of Virginia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and stepsisters, Naoda, Wanda and Carol.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Kathryn Lindell.
He was cremated, and interment will take place on a later date in Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
