Cloyce Fitch, 78, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born July 13, 1935 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Dennis and Elsie (Ross) Fitch and came to this area in 1956 from Kentucky.
Cloyce was a truck driver for Lake Erie Construction Company for over 40 years and was a former employee of Leon Riley, Inc., Norwalk, Ohio.
He was a member of Mt. Vernon Lodge #64 F. & A.M., Norwalk, Ohio, Eagles Aerie #711, Norwalk, Ohio, and was a social member at Firelands Post #2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Post #41 American Legion.
Cloyce enjoyed making wine, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, playing dart ball, and conversations on his front porch and around the campfire. He is survived by his wife of 53 1/2 years, Betty J. (Zuk) Fitch of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Kevin (Stephanie) Fitch of Norwalk, Ohio, and Michelle L. Cleland (Chris Myers) of Norwalk, Ohio, and Robert Guckert, of Shelby, Ohio and by his grandchildren, William (Jessica) Guckert, Cody Fitch, Heylee Cleland, Christin Fitch, Kyle Fitch, Jayde Cleland, Peyton McCurdy, and Kayla Guckert.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Eagles Club, 151 Cline Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 5700 Brecksville Road, Independence, Ohio 44131.
