NORWALK — Barbara A. Cotterill, 77, of Norwalk, died Sunday morning in her home.
She was born Aug. 23, 1929 in Norwalk, to the late Elmer B. and Harriet E. (Austin) Bell and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a member of Norwalk First United Methodist Church, Eagles Aerie No. 711 Auxiliary. She was a great supporter of Bronson Norwalk Conservation Club. She retired from Norwalk Bargain Center (Cooks & Rinks), A&P Grocery Store in Norwalk. She enjoyed cross stitching, embroidery, bingo, reading, cooking and trying new recipes, and buying gifts for her family.
She is survived by her son, Charles Cotterill IV of Norwalk; daughters and son-in-law, Denise R. Ralston, of Monroeville and Julie A. and James Horvath of Collins; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and sisters and brother-in-law, Jeanette G. Adelman and Becky and Ben Fleming, all of Norwalk.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, William T. Bell and Robert E. Bell.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Revs. Louis Diehl and Dr. Roger Smith will officiate. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will be held at the Norwalk Bronson Conservation Club following the burial service.
