BELLEVUE — Betty J. Williams, 85, formerly of Bellevue, now of Pandora, died Saturday at the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Bluffton.
She was born Dec. 27, 1921 in Seneca County to the late David and Cora (Fatzinger) Tusing.
She graduated from Attica High School in 1940.
She had been employed by the Bellevue School Board as the head cook at Ridge Elementary School for 28 years prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and James Schwartzengraber of Elida; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack B. and Catherine Williams of Scottsdale, Ariz.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Martin Tusing of Rossford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce E. Williams, whom she married Aug. 25, 1943 and who died Feb. 16, 1976; sisters, Ellen Runion, Ruth Bayer and Alice Valentine; and brothers, William Tusing, D. Frank Tusing and Ernest Tusing.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Chaplain Dave Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue cemetery.
