BELLEVUE — Richard C. Warden, 73, of Bellevue, died Tuesday at the Bellevue Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1934 in Dupont, the son of Carl and Lettie (Mullet) Warden.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue; Eagles, Moose Post 238, VFW, and American Legion, all of Bellevue. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1952.
He was a veteran, serving in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was the owner/operator of Johnny’s Café in Bellevue from 1963 to 1975, and from 1989 to 1999, he was a traffic signal electrician for the Ohio Department of Transportation.
On June 22, 1968, he married Sandra (Norman), who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline Warden of California; a son, Stephen Warden, also of California; a stepson, George (Kathy) Eybs of Huron; four grandchildren; father-in-law, Willis Norman of Bellevue; a sister, Elaine (Tom) Rospert of Wadsworth; and brother, Wayne (Susan) Warden, California.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Wally Seibel officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery.
