Fred Church, age 77, of Berlin Township, died on Monday October 7, 2013 at home following a brief illness.
He was born on May 15, 1936 in Lomansville, KY, and has lived in the area for over 50 years.
He worked at Van Dresser in Norwalk for 20 years and retired from Quickie Designs in Avon Lake in 2001.
He was an avid hunter and loved woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Marie (Lyons), his children, Bonnie (Carl) Kamm, of Berlin Twp., Chris (Ed) Walton, of Berlin Twp., James "Fred" (Diane) Church, of Milan, a brother Worth Church, of Wakeman, a sister-in-law Joanne Church, of Huron, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Worth and Nora (Charles) Church, brothers Homer and Okel "Sonny" Church, three sisters, Opel Cordle, Irene Cordle and LouVerne McKnight.
Friends may call on Thursday October 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights, where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am. Pastor Gary Dean will be officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
