NEW LONDON - Donna Jean (Kirchner) Dubick, 72, of New London, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 8 at her home.
She was born Sept. 2, 1935 in Parma, daughter of the late August and Katheryn (DuChai) Kirchner. She was a 1954 graduate of Holy Name High School in Parma.
She had been employed by Ohio Bell for many years before moving to California after she was married. Once back in Ohio, she lived in Brunswick and then settled in New London on a small farm where the couple loved flowers, animals, gardening and raising their children.
She and her husband became one of the original members of Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish Catholic Church in Nova.
She is survived by sons and a daughter-in law, Tom Dubick and the late Lynn Dubick of Weddington, N.C., and Rob and Kim Dubick of Canton, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-laws, Lisa and Bryan Bittinger of Medina, and Denise and Joe Nichols of Seven Hills; nine grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-laws, William and Katheen Kirchner, Patrick and Joan Kirchner of Ohio and Joseph and Karlotta Kirchner of Oregon; sisters and brother-in-laws, Nancy and Don Champlin of Florida, Sally and the late Bill Clinton, Marian and the late Mike Mayerchak, and Patsy Suveges of North Royalton; and her close confidant and best friend, Janet Francis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 2005; a sister, Mary Lou Clingan; and brothers, Edward Corcoran and John Cocoran.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Community of Jesus the Good Shepherd, Nova Catholic Church, 240 Ohio 511, Nova, where until a Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Ron Bryda officiating.
Burial will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman.
