PLYMOUTH - John Fazzini, 81, of Plymouth, died Monday at home.
He was born on May 17, 1926, in Clarksburg, W.Va., to the late Dominic and Minnie Zippilli Fazzini, and a resident of Plymouth most of his life.
He was Plymouth-Shiloh superintendent for many years. While in the U.S. Navy, he served on the USS New Jersey during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of Plymouth American Legion, Ehret-Parcel Post 447 and a past member of Plymouth Lions Club. He attended Plymouth Presbyterian Church.
He loved gardening, walks with his wife and spending time with his family. After his retirement on April 1, 1980, he was a licensed real estate salesmen for Seasons Real Estate Associates. He was also clerk-treasurer of Plymouth Village.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Lucille Fazzini, whom he married Dec. 11, 1948; daughters, Minnie (Jerry) Zeger of Mansfield, Martha (Jeff) Hall of Fremont and Vickie Mawhorr (Roger McKinney) of Shelby; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; brothers, Paul (Lynn) Fazzini of Plymouth and Phil (Ann) Fazzini of Hamilton; and five siblings of Clarksburg, W.Va.
No calling hours will be observed. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
