FLORENCE TWP. Wilma E. Sprague, 79, of Florence Township, died Wednesday at Parkvue Healthcare Center in Sandusky.
She was born May 25, 1928 in Amherst, and had lived in the Florence Township area her whole life. She was a 1946 graduate of Birmingham High School and worked at her father's grocery store in Florence and also was a homemaker. She was a member of the Florence Congregational Church. She loved gardening, holding garage sales, traveling, and pampering her cat, Parker. She was an avid Cleveland sports team fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Robert) Murray of Lake Worth, Fla.; a brother, Howard Elgart of Sandusky; brother and sister-in-law, Gene (Ruth) Sprague of Florence Township; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth who died in 1999; her parents, Walter Ladrach and Florence (Andrews) Elgart; and a sister Joyce (Elgart) Hunter.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Florence Cemetery on Ohio 113.
