GREENWICH - Gladys Noble, 98, of Greenwich, died Monday morning at Willard Health Care. She was born Jan. 25, 1909 in Ruggles Township, daughter of the late Franklin and Martha Ann (Quinn) Gibson.
She had lived in Ruggles Township and Sullivan before moving to Greenwich when she married in 1936. She had lived in the same house until 2006. She was a 1927 graduate of Ruggles High School.
She and her husband farmed together for many years. She was a homemaker. She had been a former member of the Greenwich Ladies Aid Society for more than 50 years.
She is survived by a nephew, Donald Gibson; cousins, Pam and Art Norman of Norwalk; and several cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Noble; as well as three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ripley Church, 4130 S. Edwards Road, Greenwich with pastor David Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
