Barbara J. Jameson, 77, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Saturday, August 3, 2013.
She was born September 9, 1935 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Herman and Josephine (Zimmerman) Seitz and was a lifelong resident. Barb was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio and was a 1953 graduate of Norwalk High School. She was a former bartender at the Twine House in Huron, Ohio and Maple Tree Lounge of Norwalk, Ohio. Barb was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Fan, playing cards, and as a young woman played slow pitch softball and volleyball. She especially enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother, and following her grandsons wrestling events.
She is survived by her children, Kathy and Mike Brindley of Fort Myers, Florida, Kurt and Deborah Jameson of Norwalk, Ohio, Kim and Tim Cunningham of Norwalk, Ohio, Kady and Kendall Grosswiler of Greenwich, Ohio, Ken and Angel Jameson of Austintown, Ohio, Kellie and Dave Ehrnsberger of Norwalk, Ohio, and Kris and Brad Maitland of Monroeville, Ohio, 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Barb is also survived by her sister, Rosemary Wise of Norwalk, Ohio, and by her sisters in law, Patricia Seitz of Norwalk, Ohio and Margaret Seitz of Norwalk, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Jameson in 1988, whom she married February 19. 1955, by her sons, Kevin Jameson in 2008, and Infant son, Keith Jameson, in 1980, by her brothers, Richard, James and Robert Seitz, and by her sisters, Betty Seitz and Evelyn McGucken.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Fr. Nathan Bachrath, Associate Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
