MEDINA Thomas S. Comstock, 60, of Medina, died Monday.
He was born Sept. 19, 1947 in Sandusky and graduated from Ashland High School in 1965. He served in the Army as a medic from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam War.
In the past 32 years, he made many friends and loyal customers as the owner of Comstock's Sewing & Vacuum Center in Medina. He was the co-founder of the Medina Train Show and an avid boater, fisherman and scuba diver.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Terrie (Palmer) Comstock; a daughter and son-in-law, Mollie and Brian Lockwood of Brunswick and another daughter and her fianc Marcie Comstock and Tom Norton of Medina; brothers, Ronald Comstock and Kent M. Comstock, both of Ashland; sisters-in-law, Mary (Bill) Ritchie and Barb Waggoner; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chet Ronan in 1951; mother, Jane Comstock; adoptive father, James M. Comstock; and a son, Harry Comstock.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Waite & Son Funeral Home, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St., Medina, where funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. with Richard Kovac officiating.
