SANDUSKY - Ruth A. Bromm, 91, of Sandusky, died Wednesday morning in the Portland House following a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 17, 1915 in Norwalk and was a 1934 graduate of Norwalk High School. She was a graduate of the Sandusky School of Practical Nursing and had worked at the former Good Samaritan Hospital for 14 years. She also was a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She was a long time member of the former Calvary Episcopal Church.
She is survived by one son: Ned A. (Sharon) Bromm of Sandusky, one daughter: Lynne (Tom) LaMarca of Saugus, Mass., three grandchildren: Douglas (Teresa) Bromm of Fishers, Ind., Laura (Geovanni) Moscoso of Saugus, Mass., Christopher (Satu) LaMarca of Mansfield, Mass., six great grandchildren: and one niece: Julie (Dan) Davis of Norwalk.
She was preceded in death by her husband: George A. Bromm in 1984, one great grandson: Nicolas LaMarca in 2005, her parents: Herman and Emma (Linder) Knoll; and one brother, Elmer (Katie) Knoll.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. Funeral services for the family will be held in the Oakland Cemetery Chapel with inurnment to follow in Oakland Cemetery. The Rev. Bob Machovec of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the donors favorite charity.
