Charles Patrick Franklin, 76, of Findlay passed away at the Bridge Hospice Care Center on Tuesday morning May 7, 2013.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio on Sept. 20, 1936 to the late Thomas and Agnes (Welch) Franklin. On Feb. 1, 1958, he married Ardyth Orians and she survives, along with their six children: Susan Cam, Stephen (Ann), Sally (Dan) Hess, Scott (Annette), Sarah (Todd) Wachter and Sandy (Tom) Lehman. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Bobby and Jessica, Chase, Sydney and Gus, Zach and Gabe, Dustin and Jessica and Emily; three great-grandhcildren, Gabe, Brody and Aubrey; a brother, Edward and sister, Elizabeth Hipp. A brother, Thomas, preceded him in death. He was a graduate of St. Paul High School in Norwalk, Ohio. He was the proprietor of CF Vending for many years, prior to that he was the vending supervisor at the Whirlpool Corporation. He was a member of St. Michael Parish.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 11, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Downtown. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Salem Twp. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where the scripture service will commence at 6:30 PM.
