BERLIN HEIGHTS - Carole Joyce (Jackson) Tucker, 73, of Berlin Heights, died Monday at Fischer Titus Medical Center in Norwalk following a short illness.
She was born Aug. 19, 1934 in Amherst but lived most of her life in the Vermilion and Florence Township area.
Carole was a member of the Florence Congregational Church since 1993. She loved having her family over for big picnics in the summer so everyone could swim together in her pool. She also enjoyed bird watching, her flower gardens and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years Ray Tucker; sons, Jon D. Kingsley of Sandusky, Jeffrey L. Kingsley of Florence Township, and Patrick R. Tucker of Elyria; daughters, Romona L. Benton of Collins, Jennifer A. Sroka and Renee S. Karason, both of Vermilion, and Shawna R. Rangel of Fitchville; stepson, Alan R. Tucker of Avon Lake; stepdaughter Tammy K. Bender of Corpus Christi, Texas; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and brothers, John D. Jackson of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Dennis N. Jackson of Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Frederick and Ada Beatrice (Murray) Jackson.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Final arrangements are being handled by Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst.
