Ruth E. (Gribben) Witt, of Norwalk, Ohio, died early Saturday morning, April 27, 2013 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. She was born in Fitchville Township, Huron County, Ohio to the late Clarence and Chloe (Pond) Wolfe, was raised in Greenwich, Ohio and had lived in the New London and Norwalk, Ohio areas most of her life. Ruth was a member of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church and was a former sales representative for B-Line Clothing and Avon Products. She was also a former employee of Wappler Instrument Company (ACMI/Olympus) and K & H Drug Store, both of Norwalk, Ohio. She enjoyed being outdoors, plants and flower gardening, traveling, camping with her family, and was an especially avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. Ruth is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert W. Witt of Norwalk, Ohio, by her children, Craig R. Gribben of Sandusky, Ohio and Brett A. and Lupe Gribben of Milan, Ohio, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and brother in law, June and Charles May of Greenwich, Ohio and by her brother, Howard Wolfe of New London, Ohio. Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Mark Gribben in 2005, by her first husband, Robert Gribben in 1966, and by her sisters, Almeda Thomas, Erma Coy, Evelyn Wacker, Helen Millen, and Marge Bellamy. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Friends may also call on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon in the Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Streiff, Pastor of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
